Raptors are important barometers to measure the health and sustainability of ecosystems. This project provides species accounts, calls, an on-line observation reporting form, and additional links to forest raptor projects in Wisconsin and the western Great Lakes.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources along with a variety of partners is designing an inventory and monitoring program for all terrestrial and aquatic wildlife in order to better support the ecosystem management decision making process. Our understanding of a variety of game and endangered species is relatively good; however, we know surprisingly little about the distribution, populations status, and habitat needs of many of the State's other mammal species.

This survey of Wisconsin's Odonata contains 160+ species accounts of Wisconsin's dragonflies and damselflies and includes behavioral and habitat notes, identification pointers, distribution maps (county checklists), state and global status, and flight period charts. There are also guidelines on how you can observe and collect odonates and help with Wisconsin's Odonata Survey.

Wisconsin Frog and Toad Survey
This project is a citizen-based monitoring program coordinated by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The primary purpose of the WFTS is to determine the status, distribution, and long-term population trends of Wisconsin’s 13 frog species.
