The map below shows counties where we currently need volunteers. Our survey goal is two routes per county. If there are less than two routes being run in your county we will either assign you a previously established route or have you establish a new survey route. If there are no available routes in your county, you may also contact us to be put on the WFTS waiting list

If there are no available routes in your area or in addition to your WFTS route, you may also want to volunteer with Wisconsin NatureMapping (WNM) to collect and submit frog calling data. Wisconsin NatureMapping is coordinated by the Citizen Science Director at Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, and allows citizens, school groups, and professionals to enter wildlife data into a statewide database. The WNM Frog and Toad Survey requires volunteers to select one to several sites and listen at those sites three evenings from April through July. To learn more about the Wisconsin NatureMapping program and their training dates, please visit their website, www.wisnatmap.org.

To see the instructions for setting up and running a survey route, go to Survey Information.
